The Zune HD will be launched globally or at the Financial Times puts it
The Zune-branded service – which includes the most popular films from MGM, Paramount and Universal – will be available in 18 of its largest western markets, including the US, UK, France, Germany and Australia.
This is good news as I have been trying to decide to buy the Zune HD or the IPod touch; as my Zune 30 is now getting old. The Touch is a cool device, but I am anti-social enough that I can’t stand being part of the pack.

Ok, the Walkman just turned 30… Crap I’m old. I remember getting my walkman.. it was the coolest thing ever. So much better than my big black cassette player. It also made me a cutting edge 9 year old (got mine a couple years after it was released). Now I could get those super assume cassettes, instead of records!
Now just to make it more said, the BBC had a kid give up his iPod for a Walkman for a week. Which is a bit of a funny story….

Well I got my Zune from Woot.com and I am pretty happy with it. I like the bigger display, battery life is not that great and it is not that pretty, but I don’t need a status symbol. I want a MP3 player, Podcasting, Audio Books and video….. Well I don’t have Podcasting yet and Audio Books are coming (sort of) soon.
Overall it is a good device. I have already dropped it and it didn’t skip…. In a few weeks there is a big update for the Zune and hopefully that will make it even better. Its no iPod, but that is ok since I didn’t like the iPod.

iDon’t…. iDon’t like the iPod…. This makes me the odd man out. iWanted to like the iPod, but it just wasn’t up to the hype that you find on the internet. So iTried the iPod and iDon’t see what the big deal is? The interface was “nice”, but nothing special. Every accessory is so overpriced and you can’t find a deal, so that tells me that the prices are fixed. Though, iWill give the iPod one great point it has a lot of accessories and it looks great.
