Just a few rambling thoughts for the day….
- Ars Technica wants readers to tell them what they want in Microsoft coverage. Good for them to ask the readers. I just wish the would limit the amount of sensationalism in coverage. Like “In a rather strange move, Microsoft has announced that there will be a PDC event this year after all”. Or my personal favorite for the week; “No beta yet, no launch: Windows Phone 7 still months away”… Microsoft released the beta a day later. Criticism without any knowledge of Microsoft’s plans. How about just an article discussing how important it will be to get tools into the hands of developers as soon as possible. Instead we get an article about the impending doom of WP7….
- Another weekend of yard work… Tired, sore, but enjoying the weekend (except for the pain). Off to Mass in a hour. #
- Very cool new tool from Microsoft. Webmatrix… Just read about it and watched a video. http://bit.ly/cX5ZR8 #
- Last week of Account II and 2nd week of Business Communication…Just 9 classes left after this week for the BS in Business (It is BS). #
- Eh, maybe the "App store hack" isn't much more than a brute force attack on a few accounts… the devil is in the details. #
- Wow, hacking of the Apple "App Store"… http://thenextweb.com/apple/2010/07/04/appstore-hack-itunes/ #
- Feeling the yard work now… Plus the sunburn… Plus the age. Did get a really nice bit of help on datagridview coding today too. #
- Lots of yard work today… and I'll feel it for the next couple of days! #
- What a really nice day it was. Just about right combination of breeze and temperature. Had the kids outside most of the day. #
- Really close to finishing the NFL Excel spreadsheet for 2010. Found another error and removed it today. Nearly done with testing. #
I love Futbol or Soccer as we yanks call it. So today as I was emailing and commiserating with a colleague in England I had to rub it in a little how England faired in the World Cup. Mostly because of The Sun’s cover after the groups were announced.
In reality, I think England did have a good team and had a chance to go for a run, but it was ego and turmoil that ruined their chances. If you expect to win, then you aren’t playing at full capacity. If you want to win, you play hard; even when there is adversity.
