About

imageWords: Machina Dei is Latin and roughly translated Machine (of) God. Dues Ex Machina dot com (God from a Machine) was taken and is over used (bands/albums/movies/other). I got the idea for Machine of God, by remembering the Catholic lay organization Opus Dei (work of God) and the Catholic phrase Angus Dei (Lamb of God). I choose this name for a reason, outside of it sounded kind of cool. Machina Dei symbolizes both my curios nature, interest in technology, science and my Catholic faith. Hence I and this website/server/programming are Machines of God.

Position: I do not subscribe to the notion that faith, science, logic and reason are separate or encapsulated from faith. Peter Kreeft and St. Thomas Aquinas both argue that reason and logic are part and parcel with faith. Since science and technology are from logic, it reasons that they can be and are reconcilable with Christianity and hence the Catholic faith. Considering that “Primeval Atom Theory” (Big Bang) was from the mind of a Catholic priest, I am standing in the shadow of giant with this thought.

Focus: I have an eclectic view of the world and a broad scope of interest. From engineering to science to history to faith to programming to marketing to business to politics, I will to cover topics that intrigue me. I hope you, the reader are provoked be my view point and respond with provocative ideas of your own.

I imagehave some unique views of the world and have some strong views on life. Come one, come all, enjoy the show and find something of interest.

Faith: Though I won’t give a testimonial or hammer my faith at anybody, I don’t and won’t hide it. I have gone from atheist to agnostic to devote Catholic, it was my journey and I paid some heavy tolls before and during this journey. My path was mine, may you find your own and may it lead us to the same garden. God gave us a free will, with that free will we either accept or reject Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. It is a free gift for all of man, but you have to accept it first. I did that, it has lead to many new and wonderful aspects in my life. I hope and pray for all to have peace, it is your choice.

I dedicate myself and this site to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit; including Mary (Mother of God), St. Maurice (my patron saint) and all the saints. Continue to call us to God.

So welcome to my sandbox.
