2009 NFL Excel Spreadsheet (Free)
Update: You can now see and purchase the 2010 NFL spreadsheet here.
Update: Checkout the demo version of the 2010 NFL Spreadsheet here.
Update: I have done a lot of work on this spread sheet since this post. Please read this post for more info.
Every year my family has a friendly contest of picking the weekly NFL games (Go Colts)… I have searched for a program to do this, but it always costs money and I am cheap.
So last year I created a basic spreadsheet to help calculate wins and this year I am making it publicly available here.Yes that means it’s free, but if you want to donate money feel free too ($1?).
Now I do not condone gambling and I do not intend the spreadsheet to be used that way. Please use for family fun and entertainment….
NOTE: This is released without support or no warranty.…. If you find a massive flaw, leave a message and I will try to fix it. The game times, matches are from a table I found at NFL.com. Simply put, use at your own risk.
The Excel 2007 format is what I use at home and the Excel 97-2003 format should work, but has not been tested since I no longer use Excel 2003.
Game On….
Instructions
- I setup the program for 10 players. So hope that is enough (copy to columns if you want more).
- Rename the player(s) from Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, ect.. to the various player names. Do this everywhere on the spreadsheet. (might fix this later).
- In the weekly games columns for each player, name the team you want to win. (just not the number 1)
- After the game(s) are over change the winning team to the number one (1). The spread sheet looks for the number one to count. If a player wins only one game in any week it will count as 2 (one game and one total for the week… You know… 1+1 = 2).
That’s it…. Now just remember to pick the Indianapolis Colts ever week.
If you have Microsoft Office 2007 Pick the Excel 2007 Version. If not or you don’t know, choose the Excel 97-2003 version.

I love the spreadsheet, very well done! The only downside is I can’t use it because I have 25 people in my pool
I’d be willing to donate a few bucks if you would be able/willing to change it to about 25 people. Steve
No problem and donate$ 10-20 to a good charity… I will email you with a link to the larger user spread sheet. stuxstu
