Windows 7

Just read some of the blogs about Windows 7 (next version of Vista) and it looks interesting. The most important part of what I have read is the reduction of bloat that Vista has. Vista is slow until you put 2 or more Gig of ram behind it. At work one of the dev systems is Vista x64 with 6 gig of ram (Intel Quad Core) and it screams! So reducing the amount of ram that Windows 7 used would be a great move.

There are many other interesting bits, like integration with Live Dev services (and Azure?)

One thing of note is that I don’t subscribe to the "Vista sucks" mantra of the tech press. I have Vista on 3 computers (2 Laptops, 1 PC) and the only problems I have encountered are on the HP laptop with all their crapware on it. Other than that, Vista has been rock solid for me. There is only one PC left in my life that is running XP…
